The YMCA Calgary Endowment promotes, supports, and funds YMCA Calgary initiatives to build healthier communities now and for future generations.
Donors can make a living gift or create a planned gift to the Endowment. Gifts are endowed which means they are invested in perpetuity. Annually, a portion of the investment income (between 3.5-5%) is used to fund YMCA Calgary programs each year. This source of sustainable income allows for long-term planning in order to meet the current and changing needs of the community.
