Truth and Reconciliation

Lake Sunset

Since 2017, YMCA Calgary & Camp Chief Hector aim to strengthen our dedication to reconciliation with Indigenous Peoples and communities across Canada.

We know that the world changes every second and sometimes things come up. Read the Camp Chief Hector YMCA Cancellation Policy.

The Camp Chief Hector YMCA runs outdoor programs 7 days a week, from May until the end of October. Due to this reason, it is unlikely that we will be able to accommodate any group bookings during those months.

If you would like to look into booking your group outside of those months, please keep in mind that we would have limited programming and services available. Common rental types that would be possible include

  • Day Groups (requiring indoor meeting spaces, and outdoor spaces for activities, no food service required)
  • Small Overnight Groups (Under 20 people – would have to cook for themselves in a standard conventional kitchen)

We would be happy to work with potential user groups to see if we can accommodate your request.

Currently, we are not booking any additional Wedding Rentals for the 2023 or 2024 seasons.
