Outdoor School Program
For more than 30 years, Camp Chief Hector YMCA has been offering overnight outdoor school experiences that provide unique opportunities to enhance curriculum objectives, build communication and cooperative group skills, and foster a shared experience for students from diverse backgrounds.
We have a variety of outdoor school options available at Camp Chief Hector. For a detailed list, please review the “2025 Outdoor Schools Program Overview” document below.
Currently, Camp Chief Hector YMCA has Master Agreements with the Calgary Board of Education and the Rocky View School Division. If you belong to a school that isn’t a part of either of those boards, we can likely still accommodate a booking. Please email your request, and we will work with you to help you join us at camp.
As with any program at the YMCA Calgary, our school programs are centred on the four core values of the YMCA: Caring, Honesty, Responsibility, and Respect. We look forward to working with you and your students.
