Drop-In Swim for All Ages and Abilities
Our drop-in swim activities offer something for everyone, whether you're training, playing, relaxing, or trying something new. There’s no registration required. Simply check the pool schedule for available times.
Drop-In Swim Activities
Whether you are looking for a full-body exercise or want to practice and refine your strokes, lane swimming is an excellent way to spend your time at the YMCA. For the safety and comfort of all lane swimmers, please note speed signs and follow proper lane etiquette:
- Swim on the right-hand side of the lane.
- Pass on the left and ensure the way is clear.
- Allow faster swimmers to pass you at the end of the lane.
- If you find yourself frequently being passed or passing others, consider moving to a faster / slower lane.
Lane swimming is reserved for those aged 8 and older who are able and prepared to swim the entire length of the pool without stopping.
To ensure the safety of our younger swimmers, children aged 8-14 without a green wristband must wear a lifejacket and be able to meet all lane etiquette requirements- at the discretion of the lifeguards- to lane swim.
Open Swim is available in all our pools for recreational swimming.
This is a great time for families, individuals, or small groups to enjoy the water at their own pace.
Please note:
- A transition line may be in place, depending on the pool.
- Children under 8 must remain within arm's reach of a parent or guardian (age 16+) participating in the water.
- Children under 3 must wear a swim diaper and plastic pants.
Our aquatic play structures are designed for fun and active recreation.
Spray toys are at the discretion of the lifeguards.

Aqua Run is available for individuals who wish to practice aqua run or aqua fit independently outside of a structured class.
Water slides are open to drop-in swimmers.

FlowRider is open to drop-in swimmers during scheduled times.

WIBIT is a floating inflatable obstacle course that adds an extra level of challenge and excitement to your swim.
