About Camp Chief Hector
Operating year-round, Camp Chief Hector YMCA offers a unique camping and outdoor education experience. While programs typically focus on youth through our summer camps and 3-season outdoor schools, Camp Chief Hector also offers weekend programs for adults and families, as well as meeting and event facilities.

Homecoming at Camp Chief Hector YMCA
Whether your last visit to camp was this past autumn or thirty years ago, Homecoming is your invitation to return to the place that shaped you and your loved ones. Reconnect with old friends, sing around the fire, enjoy classic camp activities, and feel that camp magic again on September 20, 2025. Tickets are by donation to Love, Camp.

We would love to welcome to your group to camp throughout most of the year. We are unable to accommodate rental groups from the middle of June through to the end of August, as we operate one of the largest summer camp programs in Canada.
Common group rental types include:
- Day and overnight group rentals, options for meals and activities.
- Corporate retreats, options for meeting spaces, meals, activities, and rustic accommodation.
- Very limited weekends available for special events including large family gatherings and weddings
- Custom built site rental options
